Chicken Jalfrezi

I love the beautiful colors of this dish, the amazing smells which come when peppers are cooked along with Chicken and also the wonderful taste. Actually I like everything about this dish. Hope you will too!

Ingredients:-
Chicken(boneless, skinless breast or thigh pieces)- 4
Bell peppers(red, yellow and green)- half bell pepper of each color
Onions- 1 (medium sized)
Tomato- 2
Ginger-garlic paste- 1 Tbsp
Turmeric- 1 pinch
Salt- to taste
Chilli powder- 1 1/2 Tsp
Chicken Jalfrezi Masala- 2 Tbsp (store bought)
Oil- 3 Tbsp

Procedure:-
Start by pureeing half of the onion and the tomatoes in a food processor. Then to a pan add oil and add the puree. Cook until almost all the water is evaporated. Then add ginger-garlic paste and fry for a minute. Now add turmeric, chilli powder, masala powder and salt. Cook for a minute and add chicken which is cut into strips. Stir fry thr Chicken for a minute or two and add 1 1/2 cups of water. Cook the Chicken until half done. Then add sliced onion (remaining half onion), sliced peppers and cook until done. Look out for the desired consistency of the gravy.
Serve this dish with Rice or Roti.
